From PSC’s Texas Pro Tryout to Trialing with Sheffield United in the EPL

PSC Texas Pro Soccer Tryout attendee Leo Londe is living the dream in England as he begins his second week on trial with EPL side Sheffield United just 6 weeks after impressing in Texas. The 20-year-old is making waves on both sides of the Atlantic, proving that dreams can indeed come true through hard work and the right opportunities.

Leo was first seen by PSC staff last year where he stood out as a 19-year-old but not enough to earn a direct trial or contract. This summer, after working with PSC’s Residential Program for 4 weeks, he has developed his game enough to stand out in showcase games and earn trials in the English Premier League and Championship. His journey serves as hope for aspiring pro footballers, showing that their path to the EPL may start at a PSC tryout.

After first impressing in Houston this summer, Leo was coached and selected by PSC Agency Staff and Lee Holmes who invited him to join up with PSC’s UK Residential Program. Whilst in England his performances secured the opportunity to train with Championship club Birmingham City after being seen by Academy Director Steve Spooner, who recently attended PSC’s Arizona pro tryout this summer. Leo was not the only American on the scene in Birmingham after NFL superstar Tom Brady recently took an ownership role at the club.

As well as being seen by Birmingham City Leo was recommended to Sheffield United by PSC Coach Gareth Holmes who has a long history at the top level of academy soccer in England. The EPL club were quick to take Gareth’s advice and brought Leo in for a weeks trial. After impressing on his initial week trial Leo has been asked to come back for a second week at the club with a view to signing.

Signing in the EPL is an almost unattainable dream come true for any footballer, and it is a testament to Londe’s ability and the credibility and network of PSC as an agency. The 20 year old added “A week at Sheffield United felt more like a whole year, the welcoming from the coaching staff and players was just amazing and helpful. What I really enjoyed is that everyone works really hard. It’s only been a week but I developed a lot on my playing skills, and I learned a lot. hopefully something good can come up after this Trial!”

Leo Londe’s story is an invitation to all future players with aspirations of playing in the English Premier League. PSC have proven time and again that it can serve as a gateway to the world of professional football achieving over 600 professional player placements, and multiple placements in the EPL, even as high as current Champions Manchester City.

Leo shows It’s not just about showcasing raw talent, and that players do not always see success at the first time of trying out. Leo had the choice last year of continuing to work at his dream or to give up after hearing his first ‘No’. His story is a reminder that the journey to professional soccer is rarely straight forward and that the next EPL star could very well emerge from one of PSC’s 10 pro tryouts this winter across USA.
