After a successful opening half of the season Orlando 2022 Womens Pro Tryout Attendee Linli Tu has secured her third professional contract in Iceland with Breidablik, Iceland’s historically most successful club.

Just 18 months ago Linli attended PSC’s Women’s Pro Tryout in Florida where she received multiple offers, opting to sign with FHL in Iceland’s first division after working with thier Head Coach directly at the tryout. In her first pro season the striker went on to finish top scorer, tallying 16 goals in just 17 games.

This breakout season earned her a move to Premier League Club Keflavik for the 2023 season where she hit the ground running with 4 goals opening half of the season. This form was enough to attract Breidablik to sign the Chinese forward on a 2 year deal.

Breidablik are historically Iceland’s most successful club with 18 league titles, 2 of them coming in the last 5 years, and have competed in the European Champions League.

PSC Women’s Director Simon Deeley who has orchestrated all three of Linli’s placements in Iceland commented “It’s been a whirlwind 18 months for Linli. She has proven herself at every team she has played for and deserves the recognition of signing with Breidablik. I’m sure she will continue to do well”.

Linli herself is excited for the new challenge “Historically they are the best team in Iceland. I want to improve as a player as much as possible and playing at the highest level will help that. My long term goal is still to represent China at the World Cup or Olympics and moving to a club with the history and status of Breidablik will only help me achieve that goal.”
