100th Women’s Professional Player placement confirmed as Katelyn Kellogg Signs in Iceland!

PSC’s Women’s program is celebrating it’s 100th professional player placement as Katelyn Kellogg has signed with Fjolnir in Iceland for the 2023 Season.

The Coastal Carolina Graduate will link up with the Icelandic 2nd Division side this month as they look to gain promotion back to Division 1. We caught up with the Kentucky born goalkeeper to find out her thoughts on the move:

“I’m looking forward to going into a different environment and being able to create bonds with coaches and teammates….It’s important to learn from different perspectives, styles of play, and techniques. I also look forward to continuing my development and winning with my team this season”

Kellogg was quick to praise PSC for their part in achieving her dream of playing in Europe “Working with Simon (PSC Women’s Director) has made this process very comfortable and reassuring. His communication, patience and consistency has made working with him very easy. He also answered any questions I had and made sure I was content with each part of my process.”

Women’s Director Simon Deeley also commented “Katelyn has been a dream to work with. Very honest, easy going and straight forward which has made this whole process very simple. I think she will do well in Iceland and hopefully this is the first year of many for her in the professional game”

When asked about the companies recent 100th placement milestone Deeley commented “It’s fantastic and something we have been working towards for the past few years. Placements on the women’s side have been coming thick and fast in the last three years and I am eager to see how many more North American Women we can provide opportunites for in Europe.”

Katelyn also wanted to take time to thank the teammates she’s ever had since stepping onto a soccer field. “I am grateful to have been challenged over the years in a multitude of ways. It has allowed me to grow as a goalkeeper and a person. To my family, I am so thankful to be supported by the love you have given me throughout the years. Thankyou for believing in me and I promise to make you all proud. Lastly, a big thanks to the man upstairs for making this all possible”.

All here at PSC wish Katelyn and Fjolnir the very best for this upcoming season. Want to follow in Katelyn’s footsteps and sign professionally in Europe? Contact simon@pscltd.co.uk with your highlights and resume to see what options are open for you.
