PSC is proud to announce that UK Residential Standout Paul Cooper is on trial with Barnsley FC having impressed across the first 4 weeks of the program.
The Manchester-born Goalkeeper stood out against the League One outfit when playing against them for PSC’s UK Residential Team earlier this month. In search of a goalkeeper, Barnsley invited Paul into trial this week where he will look to earn a permanent contract.
PSC Residential Director Lee Holmes commented “We’re delighted for Paul! It’s disappointing to lose a player of such high quality from the program but that is our aim and purpose – to push players into the professional game. Paul has been stand out for us both on and off the field and we’re hopeful he will do well at Barnsley”.
He continued, “Paul is the first player from the program to move onto the professional trial, but there are others here with us who we can believe move on and will try to create further pathways for them”.
All here at PSC wish Paul the very best in his trials. Want to follow in his footsteps and break into the professional game? Attend one of PSC’s upcoming tryouts and showcase directly to professional coaches in attendance.
