PSC is proud to announce a further signing in Iceland as Brooklyn Nielsen signs with Volsungur in the Icelandic Second Division.
The goalkeeper becomes the second PSC player to sign at the club following the announcement of midfielder Allyson Patterson signing earlier this month.
The club narrowly missed out on promotion in the 2021 season due to away goals and with the signing of two strong American players are hoping to go one better in the 2022 season.
PSC Director of Placement Simon Deeley commented “We’re all looking forward to seeing how Volsungur gets on this season with the addition of two strong talents. Both Brooklyn and Allyson should be strong players in the league and hopefully, this will be a successful year for them individually and as a team.
We caught up with the Utah Valley Graduate ahead of her maiden professional season in Europe “I’m looking forward to new challenges playing at the professional level and to experience a new culture. Iceland is a beautiful country and I’m excited to explore all the cool sites…. I hope to be a leader on this team and to help my teammates be the best they can.”
Neilsen continued to comment on her guidance from PSC who she would like to acknowledge having signed her first professional contract: “My experience with PSC has been great, they were so good to work with me and the process went smoothly. At this time I would like to thank my parents for supporting me and encouraging me to chase my dreams”
All here at PSC wish Brooklyn the very best this season. If you want to follow in her footsteps and secure a professional contract in Europe please see our upcoming tryouts here
