PSC Confirm Partnership with 2022 NISA club Valley United

PSC are proud to be working with Valley United, Arizona’s newest professional sports team. The soccer club will be a part of NISA in 2022. The National Independent Soccer Association (NISA) has enthusiastically approved Valley United to begin play in the Spring of 2022. Valley United is a Phoenix-based club making the jump to the pro level.

The club will play at Grand Canyon University Stadium, which has a capacity of 6,000.

For more information on the club visit ValleyUnitedFC.com, and follow Valley United on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Linked at @ValleyUnitedAZ.

Valley United’s Head Coach, Adrian Gaitan, has been using PSC’s Pro Tryouts for a number of years to recruit for his club and the current roster boasts a number of players who got their chance through PSC’s pro tryouts held yearly.

Captain Gustavo Vargas, midfielder Gylles Mitchel and forward Noel Roman are three current players signed to the team that were scouted directly from PSC Combines. The club has also previously signed a number of other players from PSC including 19 year old Zishim Bawa who played with the team last season in the UPSL before moving on to Swedish professional club Bodens BK in Sweden. Gaitan commented.

“We are excited to be partnering with PSC and we continue to grow our club into the professional ranks. PSC had proven to be an important partner for us in our search to find local talent. We feel extremely fortunate to have them continue to help us find and develop young talent all over the country”

PSC Director, Tom Taylor echoed Gaitan’s sentiments “We are very excited to have developed this relationship with Adrian and the football club. NISA is a very good level for our top performing players and excellent pathway for them to try and establish themselves as professional soccer players. Phoenix is a great location with a lot of excellent competition regionally and I’ve been really impressed with the standard of play so far in the NISA league.”

“It will give exposure and development opportunities to our Southern California youth and U23 players who have the aspirations to play at a higher level. Over the years we have been very successful placing players into the professional game from our programs be it in Europe or the USL. This now gives our players a fantastic opportunity locally in the Southwest region at a level that is realistic for players who show the talent, mentality, and capabilities of playing at the NISA level. It’s already proven to be successful for Adrian and we hope we can continue to find him quality players that fit into his teams style of play.”

As well as player recruitment and scouting PSCs coaches will also be working directly with Valley United to assist in the running of their Development and U23 team that will play in the NISA Nation League. This team will consist of currently signed Valley United players that require additional playing time as well as talented under-23 and youth players from Arizona and California. It will provide an excellent stage for players to grow and get consistent playing time at a high level as well as top-level coaching on a consistent basis. The team will play 6 games in Fall 2021 with Las Vegas Legends, Chula Vista FC, and FC Golden State. The 2022 season will consist of a spring and fall league.
