PSC Expansion Franchise to Compete in United Premier Soccer League

PSC is proud to announce that our newly-formed outfit PSC Football Club will be competing in the UPSL’s Western Conference this coming spring.

The move comes following the company’s decision to start a team to coincide with PSC’s European programs, with the aim of developing and preparing players more effectively for the professional game.

Speaking on PSC’s decision to enter a team into the league, United Premier Soccer League Commissioner Yan Skwara said: “PSC is a well-established academy with a great player development program. PSC is a perfect fit for the UPSL as they have a good player pool, and what better way to test and develop your players during high-level matches against top opponents? We expect some competitive play from their squad. They have a proven system of player development that over the years has enabled many individuals to play professionally in Europe, Asia, and North America. We are very excited to see these talented players compete in the UPSL and wish PSC success on and off the field. We look forward to seeing them in the UPSL in 2017.”

PSC FC will be led by Tom Taylor and Simon Deeley. Taylor is a former Assistant Coach for Tulsa Roughnecks FC and current PSC Director. Deeley is a former Head Coach of the UPSL’s Valley United and also a current PSC Director.

Tom Lancaster and Yangho Lee will be among a number of other coaches involved with the side. Lancaster is currently the Director of Coaching with AYSO United and an Assistant Coach at Irvine Valley College. Lee is the Head Coach of Bethesda University’s soccer team in Los Angeles.

Commenting on PSC’s decision to enter a team into the UPSL, PSC FC Director of Media Relations Joe Angove said: “We are delighted to be competing in the UPSL.
It is a league that we are sure will prove to be a perfect local and competitive
environment for our players, as we look to prepare them for the next level. With PSCyeha
based in Orange County, we have witnessed how the Southern California league has progressed over the last couple of years and we feel now is the perfect time to enter a team into the UPSL.”

PSC will later announce its upcoming schedule and home venue for UPSL games.
