2017 PSC Malta Showcase Tour attendee Taylor Morgan has earned trials with Irish Premier Division outfit Cork City FC.
The 26-year-old frontman produced a number of fantastic performances against top-level opposition during PSC’s most recent Showcase Tour, which led to PSC Ireland Director Declan Roche alerting City of Morgan’s availability.
PSC Managing Director Paul Taylor was watching Morgan from the sidelines in Malta and revealed that the former George Mason University player was a man in demand following the conclusion of the tour.
“He has a number of offers as a result of his impressive performances during our Showcase Tour,” said Taylor.
“But after our Ireland Director Declan Roche alerted us that Cork was in the market for a frontman, we felt that a trial with the club would be an excellent opportunity for Taylor,” he continued.
Morgan has previously tasted success with PSC, after attending our 2013 Sweden Showcase Tour and signing with now Allsvenskan side Östersunds FK. Almost four years on, the former San Antonio FC player has added to his achievements with PSC – a reward that Paul Taylor believes is the result of determination.
“Taylor’s success in the game is not only a testament to his footballing ability but also his character,” said the PSC Managing Director.
“After being involved in the professional game for a number of years, it’s easy for players to expect their next move to fall into place, but Taylor has shown confidence in his ability to head out to Malta and prove his worth to a number of clubs and coaches.
“Knowing the level of the Irish Premier Division and the success Cork have had in recent years, we look forward to seeing how he progresses during his trial period in Ireland,” he continued.
