PSC Maryland Pro Soccer Combine Attendee Devin Morgan Signs With USL outfit Tulsa Roughnecks FC

2016 PSC Pro Soccer Combine success story Devin Morgan has described signing a professional contract with Tulsa Roughnecks FC as an “incredible feeling.”

The 22-year-old center-back impressed coaches at PSC’s Combine event in Maryland this June and put pen to paper on a contract with the United Soccer League outfit in July.

Morgan, who helped the Roughnecks keep a clean sheet on his debut, spoke of his success in a recent interview with PSC. He said: “It’s an incredible feeling. I had a great experience working with the PSC coaches and staff in Maryland. Every participant was given an equal shot to impress and I’m glad my effort was noticed. The opportunity to impress the coaches in attendance is what the grind to become a professional soccer player is all about.”

Brooklyn-born Morgan, whose cousin, Josh Morgan, played as a wide receiver for the San Francisco 49ers in the NFL, talked about life within the ranks at the Roughnecks.

“The coaching staff and my teammates have been very welcoming, “ he said.

“The training sessions have been purpose-driven and physically taxing. As a rookie, I’m certainly finding my feet and learning every day on the job from the experienced and quality players I have the pleasure of sharing the field with. I couldn’t be more pleased to begin my professional career with the Roughnecks.”
