PSC Announce First Professional Women’s Success story

PSC is proud to announce their first Women’s success story as San Diego native Michele Ramirez has signed professionally with Ostersunds FK in Sweden this April. The 23-year-old Center Back was recommended to the club by PSC Agency Staff as the European outfit was looking for a center-back. Ramirez was invited in for a 6 week trial following PSC recommendation and within 2 weeks of training at the club was offered a playing contract for the remainder of the 2013 season.

In Southern California, Ramirez played for Cal State San Marcos and San Diego Sea Lions prior to being recommended to PSC by Carlsbad Lightning Director Michael Duggan and San Marcos Head Coach Ron Pulvers. She made her professional debut in Europe at the end of May and you can listen to her interview here. PSC Agency staff commented

“We’re delighted to get our foot into the women’s professional game in Sweden and create a relationship with Ostersunds FK both in the Men’s and Women’s game. We have a number of contacts in the Women’s League in Sweden and now plan to move forward and develop women showcases in America and open the door for young American women to get placed professionally in Sweden.”

Following this success PSC is planning to hold their first Professional Women's soccer combine in 2014 to help expose American female soccer players to the European professional game.
