PSC are proud to announce Chase Webert, who kept goal at our 2019 summer showcase tour to Sweden, has signed with South Hobart FC in Australia this week.

The Regis University graduate becomes the first player PSC have placed in Australia, and will be followed shortly by central defender Patrick Kibler in the same club.

South Hobart play in the NPL, the second tier of the Australian professional pyramid and have finished in the top three for the past 12 seasons under the guideship of Ken Morton, and will be looking to continue that fine heritage this year.

Webert attended PSC’s showcase tour to Sweden in the summer of 2019 and is a great example of how patience can pay off when trying to break into the professional game. PSC Director Tom Taylor, who worked with Webert in Sweden commented “Chase performed very well in Sweden and proved to us he was capable of playing at the professional level. Over the summer we were unable to open any doors for him but as soon as the Winter window re-opened and South Hobart were in need of a quality keeper we had no hesitation recommending him to the club”

He concluded: “We’re excited to see how Chase and Patrick get on in Australia. Our connection with South Hobart is an important one and we and look forward to sending more players down under in the coming years.

PSC have just announced another six tryouts across USA for June & July 2020.
