PSC are proud to announce the signing of Martim Sequiora with Hotur/Hugin in Iceland Division 2.
The Grace college graduate attended PSC’s Chicago pro tryout in January 2024 where he performed well, standing out with a hat-trick on day one. These performances earned a trial with Madison Forward where he scored twice in 60 minutes and was unlucky not to be offered a contract. Martim also received further trial offers and opportunities in the USL as well as direct offers from Sweden and Estonia all generated based on his performance at our Chicago tryout. The forward was then recommended to Hottur/Hugin by PSC Director Simon Deeley last week and a deal was pushed through within 72 hours.
Deeley commented: “Placements like this are really pleasing as it is with a club who did not attend the tryout and see Martim directly. The club trusted PSC’s judgement and reputation having previously placed successful forwards Jonathan Glenn and Abdul Mansaray in Iceland and signed Martim without trial.”
He continued “For Martim it is great. Not only has he managed to sign in Europe without trial, he has achieved this at his first attempt. He has attended one combine and as a result has signed his first professional contract on very good terms for a first deal. We look forward to seeing where his career will go after this season as he has a lot of potential.”
Martim was informed of PSC’s pro tryouts and services by his collegiate Head Coach Arron Patrick who himself signed professionally in the USL after a successful combine and tour in 2013. Coach Patrick commented:
“Martim has had an outstanding career here at the collegiate level, and we are excited to see him progress into the professional game. I have had a great relationship with PSC for many years, and their professionalism and connections in the professional game aren’t matched by many. I can’t thank them enough for the way they have taken care of Martim throughout this process.”
“Over the last three years he has led our league in goals scored, and I have no doubt that if his new team can find him, he will find the net consistently. We all wish him the very best, and look forward to him representing our program well. Martim is a wonderful footballer, but an even better person that will make an impact in his new environment!”
We took the time to catch up with Martim before he flies out to Iceland to embark upon his new journey,
“The combine was well organized and working with the coaches benefited me. They were experienced coaches and that allowed me to switch my mentality to take things even more serious. The whole process with PSC has been very easy. They have generated more offers for me than I expected and made my decisions easy – I would recommend PSC to anyone looking to play professional.
He continued “I want to thank Arron Patrick who encouraged me to trust in PSC to take my next step to professional level. I also want to thank PSC for all the work they’ve done for me and to make my dream come true”
