PSC are proud to announce the signing of Hunter Bell with B71 Sandoy in Faroe Isles.

The young defender has put pen to paper on his first professional contract as he begins his promising career in Europe.

B71 Head Coach Richard Goffe knows Hunter well having worked with him on PSC's 2022 European Showcase Tour where he coached the 21-yr-old for ten days. Having kept tabs on his showcase performances with PSC since it was an easy decision for Coach Goffe when he was looking for a new center back this season after previous center back and PSC placement James Drye moved up to the Premier League. After impressing again on 

Hunter will join up with the squad for the 2024 season with a view to following in Drye's footsteps. We caught up with Hunter before he traveled to Europe:

"What were your initial feelings when you heard you had been offered a professional contract in Europe"
When I first heard that I had been offered a professional contract it felt surreal. To work so hard for years and to finally earn a professional contract feels incredible. Looking at it from another angle, I know this is just the beginning and that there is much more work to be done. I am looking forward to proving myself as a valuable asset to the team!
 
What is it about playing in Faroe Isles that excites you most?
What excites me most about playing in the Faroe Islands is being in a professional environment and competing for 3 points every week. I am excited for the competition I will be facing and I am excited to be coached by Coach Richard, who I feel truly believes in me. I am also excited to test myself against a higher level of competition.

You have been on PSC’s tour programs and residential programs over the last few years. What about those programs have helped you develop into the player you are now?
I have been to Spain, Portugal, England, and played in Sweden all through PSC. I think every place I have been to has opened up different weaknesses in my game that the coaches helped me see. After every tour the coaches feedback was the main thing I would focus on for months, trying to improve on the things they saw in my game. The coaches themselves were always eager to answer any questions I had pertaining to my performance or anything else I had questions with. I also think being coached by such experienced coaches helped me realize what standard I have to play in order to make it to the next level. 
 
.You also worked with Coach Richard, your new Head Coach, on showcases and combines before – how valuable was that in your decision to sign for him?  
It was very influential in my decision to sign. I was coached by Coach Richard in Portugal and at a few combines,and he is one of my favorite coaches at PSC. He helped me alot during the Portugal tour and during the combines he was very informative. I am extremely grateful for Coach Richard and this opportunity he has given me.  I am very excited to see what this season brings and I know I am going to be learning everyday from Coach Richard!
 
Is there anyone you would like to thank or acknowledge at this time?
 First off, I have to thank God for putting me in this position today and allowing me the opportunity to advance my football career. Second, I have to thank my Dad, and my Mom, all the times they drove me to and from practice, all the games I would look up in the stands and see them cheering me on, and  for all the sacrifices they made through the years so I could continue to follow my dream. Thirdly, I want to thank my brother and my close friends for always believing in me and giving me the encouragement I needed. Last but not least, I want to thank everyone at PSC for continuously giving me opportunities to showcase myself for the past few years. Everyone at PSC believed in me, rooted for me, and helped me endlessly throughout my journey.
