How long have they been attending events?
Technical Director Adam Smith has been attending PSC's tryouts for five years during which time he has also been featured as a regular coach on US showcases and with our California based UPSL team.
Has he offered opportunities to players from PSC events before?
Yes – in the last year he has signed over 5 players including first team goalkeeper Paul Lewis and four academy players as well as offering trials to multiple players for the first team.
Why play in USL League One in California?
On the field
Soccer in USA is going places! When PSC began running tryouts 15 years ago the USL Championship only had a handful of professional soccer clubs across the whole country. Fast forward 15 years (and 600 player placements!) and USL Championship has grown exponentially into a competitive professional league where players can begin a career.
Off the field
The central valley sits equidistance from the Pacific Coast Beaches and the Sierre Nevada Mountain line whilst also boasting some of the cheapest areas to live in California. It is popular among locals who are looking for the lifestyle and weather that California offers without paying the prices that LA and San Francisco demand.

PSC Director Lee Holmes thoughts on playing with CV Fuego.

Fuego have already offered trials and contracts to over ten PSC players in the last 2 years so there is a strong and realistic chance of signing with the California based club if you impress at any of the following tryouts:
