PSC are proud to announce signing of Sulahmana Bah with Zurrieq FC in Malta.
Zurrieq FC technical director Mark Miller saw Sulahmana at PSC’s Chicago pro tryout this summer having seen him on previous PSC showcases and tours. His performances at the three day tryout were enough to convince Miller to sign him in the summer window.
This is Sulahmana’s second contract through PSC after signing with B71 Sandoy of the Faroe Isles in 2023. Bah was also offered to trial in the USL with Charleston Battery.
We caught up with Sulahmana after his signing was confirmed....
How was your combine experience in Chicago?
My experience at the combine in Chicago was solid! I played great and I was allowed to express myself in front of potential clubs that wanted to give players the chance to take their game to the next level! I’ve also been to previous PSC combines that provided me trial opportunities for different teams and through my hard work, good performances, and belief I eventually landed my first opportunity in the Faroe Islands which I was extremely thankful for and took a lot of experience with me!
How did the opportunity to sign in Malta come about after the combine and tour?
Yeah so, it was long but worth it. Previously, about 2 years ago, I had performed really well at a combine and tour that had brought me in front of the attention of Mark Miller who is currently the Technical Director at Zurrieq FC. He had shown a lot of interest to sign me that summer but the timing was a little off and everything was happening quick but at the time I was focused on going back to school as I had just transferred earlier that year. Fast forward to June earlier this year and he was present at the Chicago combine where, after I impressed on the field, he immediately made it known to me he wanted to take me to Malta to sign with Zurrieq!
What are your thoughts ahead of this season in Malta?
I’m very happy excited to sign with this club in a new environment! This is a great opportunity for me to really focus on my game and dominate my opposition and make a name for myself as I’m very ambitious. I’ve already settled in very well with the team and my other teammates from the PSC agency. Malta has a lot of good footballing history so I won’t be surprised to find good competition but I feel as if this challenge only makes me better as well!
Goals and aims for the season?
I’ve of course set personal objectives that I want to achieve but my main focus is finding my role in helping the team achieve its goals first and foremost! Zurrieq is a club rich with history and I’m proud to be apart of it! There’s plenty of work to do to continue this history so I have to be fit, ready, and willing to make these ambitions a reality!
Is there anyone you want to thank or acknowledge?
And obviously I couldn’t have been here without Mark for bringing me to Zurrieq, my agents, Tom and Simon for realizing my talents and ability and willingness to work with me to put me in the best situation to express myself! Most of all I thank my parents! They are my true inspiration, role models, and idols for why I continue to work hard, and believe in myself!
All here at PSC wish Sulahmana the very best in Malta this season. Want to follow in Sulahmana’s footsteps and sign pro contracts in Europe? Check out our next set of pro tryouts here
