After impressing at PSC's Chicago Pro Tryout in January 2024 Erek Graham has signed a pro academy contract with Northern Colorado Hailstorm in USL League One.

The twenty-one-year old played live in front of Hailstorm Assistant Head Coach Colin Falvey who invited the defender to trial and earn a spot with the club.

Erek is one of three players to sign pro from PSC's January Chicago Tryout after Martim Sequeira signed in Iceland and Gabriel Jurado also signed with The Hailstorm.

We caught up with Erek to find out his thoughts on his experience from the combine in Chicago to signing pro.

How has your experience in Colorado been so far?
My experience in Colorado has been great, I’ve learned a lot playing with professionals and I feel like I’ve grown as a player

What are your hopes and goals for this season (both individually and as a team)?
Individually I would say that my only goal is to reach the next level as a player and prove that I can play alongside other pros. As a team I’m just hoping to see this group with some silverware as we’re coming to the end of the season.

What were your thoughts on the PSC tryout you attended and the on-field experience you had?
I was faced with some great competition over the 3 day period. I definitely had to give more effort to show my skill in front of the plethora of coaches attending and I really enjoyed the experience.

What were your thoughts on the tryout and the off field experience you had? (Organization, logistics, communications etc)
Overall the tryouts were very well organized. I was able to play in both of the positions I’m comfortable in which gave me different looks from different coaches and being able to speak with the psc staff helped me understand what coaches look for in a player.

How has your experience been with PSC and their facilitating of the deal?
PSC have done a great job in helping me with my contract. I honestly didn’t expect a club to be very interested in me but through PSC’s contacts with the coaches I was able to learn differently and gain something valuable to my career.

Is there anyone you would like to thank or acknowledge at this time?
First and foremost I’d like to thank my mother for allowing me to attend the tryouts and believing in me enough to let me follow my dreams of being a professional footballer, without her I wouldn’t have been able to do any of this.

Northern Colorado will be attending all PSC's Winter Tryouts. Want to follow in Erek's foosteps, sign up today to play live in front of Hailstorm Coaching staff this December & January.
