Womens Pro Soccer Tryout San Diego Scouting Network

Each of the following clubs will be in attendance personally at the upcoming tryouts or will be recruiting via PSC Agency Staff.

2024 Premier League Champions Breidablik are historically Iceland's most successful club and  are qualified for this seasons European Champions League. PSC have enjoyed a good relationship with Head Coach Nik Chamberlain who has signed 4 US players through PSC’s tryouts and network; Michaela Mansfield, Kori Butterfield, Olivia Bergau, and Morgan Goff. Chamberlain has attended tryouts for the past four seasons and knows the quality he can recruit from events such as PSC’s Womens Pro Soccer Tryout in San Diego. 

FHL Head Coach Bjorgvin Gunnarson will be attending our womens pro soccer tryout in San Diego to prepare for their 2026 season. The club have signed more than 15 PSC players in that last 5 years and the current roster boasts 3 PSC players, Isabelle Gilmore, Lexi Czerwien and Candela Gonzalez. They have developed a reputation for starting players careers and pushing them onto bigger things. In 2021 they signed Linli Tu who finished top scorer in Division One before signing in the Icelandic Premier League. Central defender Heidi Giles played 2 seasons with the club before moving onto Genoa in the Italian top tier and goalkeeper Anne Colombo spent 2 seasons at the club before moving onto Fenerbahçe in the Turkish Premier League. For the 2023 season he signed Orlando tryout attendee Sofia Lewis who has now moved on to the Portuguese Premier League and PSC agency player Natalie Cooke who ended the season top scorer before also moving on to play in Portugal's Premier League also.

ÍBV currently sit at the top of the Division 1 table and are strong favorites for promotion back to the Premier League. Among the standout performers is PSC Agency center back Avery Vander Ven, who is having a breakout season with the club who boast the best defensive record in the league. Assistant Coach Richard Goffe who has been working with PSC for the last 5 years will be in attendance at PSC's Womens Pro Soccer Tryout in San Diego and has signed over 8 players in that time. 

PSC Women's Scout Simon Deeley has been responsible for all of PSC’s 100+ women’s professional player placements across Europe. In the past 3 years Simon has placed over 20 players professionally in Europe including Natalie Cooke & Jessica Hix in Norway, Emily Brett with Fylkir in Iceland, Momola Adesanmi with Grindavik, in Iceland, Sofia Lewis with Clube de Albergaria in Portugal and many more. He will be looking for more players capable of playing professionally at our Womens Pro Soccer Tryout in San Diego.

Combine FAQ's

Can I pay cash and sign up on the day?
We cannot accept payment on the day at the fields as we schedule the event, including players and teams, 48 hours in advance of game one to ensure the event runs smoothly. It would be logistically difficult to plan an event whilst not being sure exactly how many players are going to turn up. Also, our combines sell out on average 2-3 weeks in advance therefore there will be no availability by day one. We recommend players sign up early to avoid disappointment.

When is the deadline to pay?
Registration for our combines close 24 hours before the event starts. However we usually sell out well in advance of day one. Once we are sold out we cannot accept any players regardless of their resume. Our goalkeeper and attacking spots are always first to sell out so we recommend goalkeepers sign up as early as possible.

Who can attend PSC tryouts?
PSC tryouts are open to players aged 15 and older of all levels—from academy and collegiate players to free agents and experienced professionals.

What should I bring to the tryout?
Players should bring black shorts, black socks, a white top (unless enrolled in the VIP package), shin guards, boots, water, and any personal items needed for training.

What happens if I get injured or can't attend?
If you are unable to attend due to injury, emergency, or any other reason, you will be eligible to attend any PSC tryout within the next 12 months for just $50 if you give 5 days notice by email.

Does the fee include hotel and transport, or airport shuttles?
The registration fee does not include hotel and transport, players are responsible for all travel.
