USL Coach of the year winner Rick Schantz has been attending PSC tryouts for 18 months.

Yes – Central defender Oscar Junior impressed Coach Schantz in Miami in the summer of 2023 and saw himself on trial in the USL with FC Tulsa as a result thanks to recommendation from Schantz.

Rick Schantz has a formidable record in the USL Championship and his opinion is well trusted. The US born coach has won USL Coach of the year, 2 Western titles, 1 x regular season title and holds the longest winning streak (20 games) in USL history. He has had the opportunity to work with a caliber of player such as Chelsea legend Didier Drogba during his time with Phoenix Rising and has a strong circle of connections in the USL. When Coach Schantz recommends a player in the USL people take his opinion seriously.
