PSC’s California Pro soccer tryout is an opportunity for players to showcase live to professional coaches and earn professional trials and contracts in Europe.

PSC tryouts have produced over 600 professional trials and contract for players in the last 15 years. We are the most successful in the industry and have been featured on International News Station Sky Sports (Click to view) as well as US news stations in Florida (click to view) and North Carolina (Click to view).

We have placed players in leagues as high as the EPL, such as Oleksandr Zinchenko at Manchester City (EPL), as well as Paul Cooper at Barnsley FC (English League One) and Anthony Herbert in the Finland Premier League who went on to play in the Europa Conference League and represent his National Team in his first pro season.

At our tryouts players are directly coached by, and showcased to, Coaches of professional clubs and are genuine pathways to the professional game.

Our recruitment team are not only looking for players ready for direct first team placement but are also able to assist with USL, MLS and European academy placement.

California Pro Soccer Tryout Attending Coaches and Scouts

Galaxy II are the reserve team of MLS side LA Galaxy who have boasted a host of superstars across the last ten years including David Beckham, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Steven Gerrard and Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez. Having formerly competed in the USL Championship the club now play in the MLS Next Pro, the third tier of American soccer and an excellent starting path for players looking to sign their first pro contract.

KFA have made use of PSC’s pro tryouts multiple times over the years to good affect. Their first signing was Devin Morgan in 2019 who was scouted from PSC’s 2019 New York tryout by attending coach Bjorgvin Gunnarsson. Coach Gunnarsson was again in attendance at PSC’s 2022 Los angeles pro tryout where he scouted Abdul Mansaray who signed with the club, scoring ten goals in his debut season and earning team of the year honors for the division. They will be attending our Florida pro tryout in search of more talent they can bring to Iceland for the 2024 season.

FF Jaro is a Finnish football club, based in the bilingual town of Jakobstad. It currently plays in Ykkönen. Home matches are played at the Jakobstads Centralplan which holds 5000 spectators. The second tier in Finland is a great starting place for first time professionals. PSC have seen a lot of success in Finland such as Anthony Herbert who signed his first pro contract in Finland following a PSC tryout and has gone on to receive a national team call up and play in the Europa Conference League in his first full season. FF Jaro will be attending our Florida pro soccer tryout in search of more talent they can bring to Finland for the 2024 season.

Northern Colorado Hailstorm are a USL League One club based in Windsor Colorado. Head Coach Eamon Zayed and Assistant Coach Colin Falvey have both attended PSC Combines before and signed / trialed players as a result so know the talent a PSC Pro tryout brings. Either one, or both, will be in attendance at our California Pro Soccer Tryout in search of players capable of playing in USL League One for the 2024 season.

CV Sporting Director and former USL coach of the year nominee Adam Smith has a longstanding relationship with PSC Soccer and is aware of the quality he can find at a PSC tryout. Either himself, or his academy Head Coach will be in attendance at our New York pro soccer tryout in search of talent to add to his squad for the 2024 USL season. The club recently signed Paul Lewis as well as signing 5 academy players in the last 6 months including Chirstian Vega.

B71 Sandoy have been working with PSC for the last 3 years on player recruitment and enjoy a strong relationship with Head Coach Richard Goffe who has been regularly attending tryouts in that time. Coach Goffe trusts PSC's judgment of players and he will either be in attendance in person at our California pro soccer tryout or PSC Directors Tom Taylor & Simon Deeley will be recruiting on his behalf. The club have offered contracts to nine players from PSC tryouts in the last 3 years and are a realistic pathway into the professional game. Tryout attendees who have signed with B71 include Brian Okpala, James Drye, Joel Vazquez, Carter Beck, Jovanni Garcia and in 2023 already they have signed Alejandro Medina and Sulahmana Bah.

Over the last 9 years, Bodens BK have regularly attended PSC’s pro soccer tryouts and signed/trialed over 25 players through PSC. The club have provided PSC with an official mandate to recruit from our California pro soccer tryout. Many PSC players have benefited from this relationship such as Eddy Prugh who scored 21 goals for the club over 3 seasons and earned a move to Colorado Switchbacks in the USL, Andy Lorei, who scored 15 goals for the club and earned a move to the Tulsa Roughnecks of the USL. BBodens won the league in 2022, gaining promotion to Division One with a squad that included Zishim Bawa & Chris Banfi, both signed from PSC tryouts and strengthened their squad with PSC Recommendation Vincenzo Candela in 2023.

Oly Town Artesians is an American soccer club from Olympia, Washington, that have been running a men's USL League Two since the 2022 season. Head Coach and former MLS goalkeeper, Liviu Bird will be in attendance at our California Pro Soccer Tryout scouting players directly for the upcoming season.

Lee Holmes is an English former professional footballer who played for a number of clubs including Southampton, Derby County, Portsmouth and represented England at U16. U17 and U19 level. Holmes was Derby County youngest ever player at just 15 years of age, as well as the youngest goalscorer at 16, and at the time the youngest footballer to appear in the FA Cup (aged 15). Holmes has been working PSC for the past two years and assisted with placements such as Leo Londe on trial with Sheffield United in the English Premier League and Paul Cooper who signed with Barnsley FC in England League 1. 

Over the last 10 years PSC Agency staff have recommended over 600 players from tryouts like this for professional contract and trial. Our agency staff have so many connections and contacts from events and combines over the years and it is not possible to invite them all to a tryout. We are eager to get as many players placed as possible and are constantly reaching out to clubs to find out their player needs. Recent examples of players who were placed with clubs who were not in attendance directly at a tryout and signed players based on PSC's recommendation are Anthony Herbert signing with FC Haka in the Finnish Premier League (went on to represent National Team and play in Europa conference League in first full year as a pro), Leo Londe trialing with Sheffield United in the EPL,  Abdul Mansaray signing in Iceland (named in team of the year for his league) and Chris Banfi, who signed with Bodens BK in Sweden. Each of these were signed by coaches who did not directly attend a combine but trusted PSC’s professional experience and judgment. If you prove you are a strong enough player at our California Pro Soccer Tryout, we will look to recommend and place you with any club in our network.

Players are often requesting our agency for video footage from our events they can use for highlight videos. Now, we are able to provide that footage to players who can receive all three days of game footage from the tryout for just $115. Videos will be sent via an online link within 14 days of the tryout ending.

PSC is offering a VIP package for players who wish to receive additional benefits from the tryout. Our VIP package is headed up by current PSC Director and former EPL player Lee Holmes. VIP players will receive:

– 30 minute Post Tryout evalutation with Lee Holmes to analyse performance and talk through the evaluation received from the professional coaches.

CALIFORNIA PRO SOCCER TRYOUT REFUND POLICY

If you are unable to attend the California Pro Soccer Tryout due to injury, emergency, or any other reason, we will be able to offer you a 12 month credit for any of our future pro soccer combine events. Credits are only valid if we are notified before 72 hours of the tryout starting.

Within a minimum of 14 days of the California Pro Soccer Tryout finishing we will contact all players via email to inform you if you have been offered a contract or a trial with one of the professional clubs in attendance, been recommended to a club within our network, or been selected for one of our further programs.
